About Me

I am mother to 3 wonderful children. I am married to my best friend, and wonderfully supportive husband, who has inspired and supported me in life, as well as in my love and growth in photography. An Alabama native, I studied Computer Science at Birmingham-Southern College and after receiving my masters from the University of Alabama, I worked for IBM for 10+ years where I specialized in applying technology to meet the needs of my clients. While expecting our youngest child, I made the decision to leave IBM and focus on our growing family.

Once home, with my children as my source of constant inspiration, I kept my camera close by and quickly fell in love with capturing the wonderful moments of their childhood and our life together. I discovered a joy in leveraging a different type of technology (my camera and digital darkroom) and came to truly appreciate the significance of being able to “stop the clock” and “freeze” these precious moments in time. I’m passionate about capturing special moments, especially the incredibly fleeting moments of newborns and babies, and it is from this passion that Magnolia Moments Photography grew. Creating photographic art from captured moments in the lives of my clients brings me much joy and fulfillment. After all, they really are “only this little for a little while.”

I feel truly blessed to love what I do. I currently reside outside of Philadelphia with my husband, children, 3 cats and a fish.
